A Wheel In Constant Motion

Matthew walked by my desk at work yesterday and glanced at the wall calendar. He had the following thoughts....

MC: "Has it really been ten days since we were in Monterey?"

Me: "Well, eleven since Monterey. But ten since your birthday; since we went to church with Grandma and Papa and your cousins."

MC: "You know, it's funny. Sometimes time flies so fast that twenty days can go by and it can seem like only ten. But then other times, when you stop and take it all in, ten days can feel like twenty."

I love talking to my kids.

What a great kid! We got his thank you note yesterday and got such a kick out of it! He says thanks you and that he really could use the money "as I was running short on cash". I read it out loud and Kali guessed that it was Matthew writing! I love it!

I totally agree with Matthew - I have often wondered if time actually moves faster at night. Remember when you were dating and you could stay up all night talking? Why doesn't a workday go that fast?
